Schwinn Comp Owners Manual
Schwinn Evolution Comp Manual
There are two types of service manuals out there. First are the bound version, very nice for the book shelf. And then there are the three ring binder version that have very handy tabs and each page is numbered with a serial number with a declaration in the front 'property of Schwinn.' Boy what a contrast. I own both these manuals, each have two volumes, created in 1969. The bound version does not have any serial numbers or details/schematics for setting up a Schwinn store. The three ringers (which I like way more) have more detail about Schwinn approved tools and other details.

Does anybody know why there are differences? And what is with the serial number versions? Do not understand that. Why did Schwinn want so much control? Interested in your thoughts.
